PROJECT DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE

The objective for this project was to create an animation with a certain design movement in mind, and I decided to choose Dada. I wanted to encorporate the abstract style of collaging different images to visually represent something. I thought this would be a good foundation on creating this inspirational short for Nike, a company that constantly inspires their consumers to push forward, to stay motivated, and to "Just Do It." 

SOLUTION

I chose to use several lines from Walter D. Wintle's poem, The Man Who Thinks He Can, as it conveys different themes of initial self doubt, but also growth, strength, and the power of positive thinking. I was able to collage images to create this surreal and abstract environment. In combination with the voiceover and soundtrack, I think that though short this animation conveys the importance of believing in one's self.
